Cable Beach Camel Rides

This is the most popular tour in Broome and is a must do while you are in town.

Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventure

Fly from Broome aboard a seaplane over the Buccaneer Archipelago to Horizontal Waterfalls landing in the pristine waters of Talbot Bay.

Turtle Bay Kayak Tour

Greg Quicke’s Astro Tours is a must do while you are in Broome with 300 clear nights a year, balmy evenings and being close enough to the equator to see both the northern and southern hemispheres makes Broome the ideal place to tune yourself into the heavens.

Early and Late Shows on different nights. Both shows are similar with enough differences to make life interesting.

This tour is only available from April to December and only on cloudless nights.

Broome Bird Observatory

Broome Bird Observatory is located 25km from Broome on the shores of the beautiful Roebuck Bay. The bay boasts the highest diversity of migratory waders in Australia. It has international significance as a major staging ground for migratory birds which pass through the area on their annual journeys to or from Asia and Siberia. Roebuck Bay is among the best locations in the world for viewing these amazing international travellers.

Shorebird Tour – two hours tour focussing on finding and identifying migratory wader species and providing information on their lifestyles and ecology.

Bush and Plains Tour – two hour journey across Roebuck Plains where you will discover a unique range of bird life, including birds of prey.

Bungle Bungle Fly/Drive

Visit Australia’s world famous Bungle Bungle range. This tour flies over Tunnel Creek, stopping at Fitzroy Crossing and then onto Purnululu National Park where you will transfer to an air-conditioned 4WD for a trip to the amazing Bungle Bungles.
A three hour walking tour takes you through Cathedral Gorge and Piccaninny Creek where a picnic lunch is provided before returning to Broome.

Mitchell Falls and Prince Regent River

Take full advantage of the ability to fly into the remote areas of the prince Regent Nature Reserve.
Travel past Walcott Inlet and Harding Range to King Cascade waterfall on the Prince Regent River. Pass over the falls in both directions and continue on to St George Basin and Mount Trafalgar.
Continue on to Kuri Bay, home to one of the largest pearl farms in the Southern Hemisphere.
Then across Collier Bay and Montgomery Reef, on to Horizontal Falls, with a stop at Cape Leveque before returning to Broome.
Mitchell Falls Extension

Other flights available

Gantheaume Point Walk

The first bus of the day (departs at 7.50am) stops at Gantheaume point where you can experience some of the most beautiful and picturesque coastline in Broome, fish off the rocks, and view the ancient dinosaur footprints (at low spring tides only). Enjoy a leisurely 5km walk back along Cable Beach (remember to take a hat and sunscreen as there is no return bus service).

Dinosaur Footprints

See the amazing dinosaur footprints from a carnivorous species that lived in the Broome region 120 million years ago. These can be viewed in the tidal regions below the cliffs at Gantheaume Point, when the tide is below 2.16m (for one set) and 1.46m (for all three).

Please take care when climbing on the rocks as they will be slippery and contain sharp shellfish.

Ask for a map and tide chart at reception.

Broome Museum

Interested in the history of Broome? Visit the Broome Museum. The museum contains an interesting collection of historical pearling equipment and other items from the early pearling days in Broome.
Located on the Saville St, opposite the Seaview Shopping Centre.

Flying Boat Wrecks

Visit the historic flying boat wrecks at low tide. The flying boats were destroyed in a Japanese air raid during World War II and can be viewed when the tides are very low (less than 0.8m).

The wrecks are easy to find and are located about 1km from Town Beach. It is best to plan to walk out about 1 hour before low tide to allow sufficient time to visit the wrecks before the tide turns.
